Iron Sharpening Iron PDF Print E-mail

Philippians 2:3 says, “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility, consider others better than yourselves.”

This is an exhortation from the Bible that seems simple enough to grasp yet is difficult in its Image application. I have realized that being chairman of the council of elders at GCF North this year is not so much about the position but developing my walk with the Lord and setting a good example to the brethren in my life and ministry. What better way to equip myself than by attending classes at CBSA! I am thankful for the opportunity to attend classes at CBSA. So far, I have completed Hermeneutics and OT Survey 1. I would go to class with a sense of euphoria, like a kid going into a candy store, and come home every night excited to tell my wife what I learned. Like “iron sharpening iron”, I have been encouraged by my fellow GCFers and brothers and sisters from other churches as we sought to learn from our very dynamic instructors.

Dr. Mark Reysio-Cruz, M.D.
Elder, GCF North
