This is an excerpt of hubertjen's response to me about a discussion on theology.  It is a very perceptive response.

" the only thing that takes God out of the center of things is sin. as Christians, we are freed from this. we must see how God pervades everything & that everything done is & MUST BE for His glory.

theology must regain its centrality in life, deeds, actions, work, relationship, finances, etc. we must not see it as a separate, isolated interest. theology is not merely 'an influence' in life. it is the anchor of all of what we do.

pastor john [pesebre] mentioned that the locus of our service to God is both in the heavenly & earthly setting. a big amen to that. now, since this is true & that it is also equally true that man is alienated from theology because he doesn't see its direct & final relevance to his everyday, mundane dealings, we as Christians must bring that 'alien' theology & everyday life together. as i've said, that is our job as the church; that is our job as preachers."

This was a response to my post:

"yan talaga kalimitan ang problema sa theology

kasi nga conceptual ang domain nito nagiging detached sa realities ng buhay ng tao

oo we always uphold the glory of god, pero to structure a theology that upholds god's glory without recognizing that there is a human element ng theologizing

ang nangyari tuloy lalong nae alienate ang mga tao sa theology

the mere fact nga na nagco communicate ka sa tao to voice out your theology proves the fact the inevitability the human consideration sa theology

"you took the fall, and thought of me above all" is within the framework of biblical consciousness."

I find it engaging when ordinary chatters become involved in the method of theology.
