CBS-Asia Academic Officer, John Pesebre recently presented papers in two theological gatherings held in Metro Manila.  In the first “Annual Forum on Doing Theology in the Filipino Context” last February sponsored by the Asian Theological Seminary and the Victory Leadership Institute, Professor Pesebre presented a paper entitled “Balik Loob: Towards a Filipino Evangelical Theology of Repentance.”  OMF literature will publish an anthology of fifteen essays presented in the forum with Pesebre’s paper included in the list.  The book will be out this year.

Another event was the forum on Biblical Authority held at the Southern Baptist School of Theology last April 30 coinciding with the public launching of the book Biblical Authority written by James Draper Jr. and Kenneth Keathley.   He presented a paper entitled “The Divine Act of Preserving the Authoritative Scripture” taken out of his Bibliology class in CBS-Asia.
